BROOKLYN PARAMOUNT

DCfC is my favorite. I’ve seen them many times. But this tour, they only played, I think, four cities, celebrating 20 years of Plans, so this performance was pretty special. They played three nights at the Brooklyn Paramount and we saw them on the first night. They did the whole Plans album, plus a bunch of fan-favorites – “Cath,” “Black Sun,” and more, ending with “Bixby Canyon Bridge.” It was a great show. What strikes me about this band as we all get older is not the depth of Ben Gibbard’s lyrics, but that he spends his free time running 100 mile trail races!
